Dr. Jack McCue
Medical Doctor, from Empower Clinics
A graduate of Harvard University and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Dr. McCue did his residency training at Johns Hopkins and Harvard Medical School in internal medicine and geriatrics. A distinguished, award-winning Emeritus Professor of Medicine at UCSF, Dr. McCue has written 14 books and monographs, and over 300 journal articles. He has spoken at international conferences on the scientific basis for the use of medicinal Cannabis.
Dr. McCue has listened to and learned from thousands of patients who have described their personal medical experiences with Cannabis, and currently works with patients at the Empower Clinics in Portland. “Most of my patients are trying to avoid or stop opiates, psychotropics, or sleeping pills, and many have serious diseases that have not responded well to traditional medical therapy.” In his upcoming book, “Medicinal Cannabis: Just The Facts,” he argues for a blending of traditional medical treatment and a science-based, appropriate use of Cannabis.
